Cassidy Keith's father has been stationed at Fort Buckley Air Force Base, in Denver, Colorado. She has to start high school, in a new state and a new brand school, with no friends. She attends Rangeview High School. Home of the Rangeview Raiders. She is first singled out and soon bullied to where she hides under the bleachers, her first day. While under the bleachers, she runs into senior, Chris Ians. A linebacker for the football team and a catcher for the baseball team. The two hit it off and soon Chris starts to protect Cassidy from any bullies, and even offers to drive her home. But when the head cheerleader, Chelsea Ruger finds out that Chris is spending more time with Cassidy, she starts to target Cassidy. Hoping Chris will fall in love with her, Chelsea humiliates Cassidy, in front of the whole school. The whole school laughs, but not Chris. Chris asks her out that night and he then reveals a secret he's keeping from his parents.
