Unpolished Gem

What’s a gem without a shine? What’s life without meaning? What’s anything without something?

Gemma Berry wanted to know the answers to all those questions. But she couldn't. You know why, because she’s too busy trying to keep a roof over her head, and have enough food to eat. Those are things a father or mother would usually provide, but you see, Gemma doesn't get that advantage. Her father got shot and she had to see it first hand, she also had to witness how that drove her mother into being a psychotic, and how it drove her sister away. Anything that happened that night is history, but what happens when history comes back? It eats you alive, I’ll tell you that.

How will Gemma get over this? How will she survive? Will she even make it out alive? Well, she’s gonna need a miracle for that to happen. Or maybe just a prince…
