The Son of a Gladiator

A tale set in the time of gladiators, a baby is sent to be fed to the wolves when he is born weak and feeble. But when the young maid sees a shadow of her own lost brother in the child's eyes, she cannot bring herself to do the deed. When a wizened old woman who lives in the forest provides the girl with another option, she quickly hands the child over. So the life of the baby Zacarius is saved, and his story can be told to us. Tucked into a basket filled with the moon's fabled flowers, the boy's eyes glow with a power that even the wolves fear...... And mankind will come to either respect, or destroy.
