17 year old Safia lives in a poor, dingy, rundown neighbourhood of Brooklyn, New York. She has low grades, her parents are never around, and her only company is her best friend, Cassie. But one fateful evening that all changes, while at home Safia hear screams, explosions, and fires are ignited. Something is spreading across New York and eventually across the whole American Continent.
