Brutalis

Monada had always been a survivor. The death of her mother sent her family into poverty and forced them to live near a cursed forest, yet Monada survived the hardships but now, she's met her match. To save her family from slavery, she enters into an abusive marriage and when it becomes more than she can bear, Monada made a desperate choice, fleeing into the woods that is more likely to kill her than it is to provide her with freedom.

Within the black trees, Monada stumbles upon the castle Nativus; the home of the late King Romulus. Behind those ancient doors, Monada discovers secrets she could never have dreamed of.

Secrets Calder knows. Alone at Nativus, he knows far too much. He knows the witch responsible for Romulus's death and the curse on the forest. He knows how to find the next king as well and has an idea of what the witch is planning. But who'd believe a beast?

Brought together by chance, Monada and Calder form an unlikely bond as they to unravel the secrets needed to save their country but a castle enchanted by a witch's curse will only keep you safe for so long.
