Tales of hard drugs and worse...

Consider this a moment: we, you and I, we may be the last generation to die. Stem cell research, nanotech, zip-zap the DNA because - don't you know - we are precoded to DIE. Evolution did not consider our feelings. Why the should it have, how the fuck could it have! So this is the 21st century. We rewrite the little program and our DNA, yours, mine: instead it thinks 'this homo sapiens is twenty one years old' - Forever. You see, every cell in the body dies and is replaced many times over in one's life. Scarsely any of ourSELF is older than a small child. We are coded to die. All of our creations, our hopes and dreams, all of the art and literature and music and wonders of the past: soon to be an anachronism, soon to be the forlorn pathetic and desperate beauty of the "people who got old and died". 𝐕𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐚𝐣𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢 𝐗 𝐉𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐯𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐧. In a world that screams, I stand in despair, My voice drowned out, lost in the air. Chains of tradition tighten each day, I long to escape, but I'm forced to stay. Each breath I take feels heavy and torn, Every mistake a scar I've worn. I crave a sky where I can be free, Away from the walls that imprison me. For now, I sit with my heart in pain, Silent, yet screaming, again and again. Though shattered, a spark in me still survives, Dreaming of freedom where my soul can rise.
