Death. It's not to uncommon for Jessie. Gun shootings, drug related deaths, even just minor fist fights are to be expected right? Especially in today's world? So she wasn't all that concerned when some girl she didn't know supposedly jumped off her apartment building in the middle of the night. But when bloody knives and unaccounted for evenings start connecting her with the multiple follow up murders, there's no telling what lies ahead. Even worse, what happens when Jessie discovers the truth about her real father. Could the same father Jessie's mother tried to hide from her since she was born have something to do with it?

Rating and Commenting would rock guys!!! (:

Skylar Hall can't remember a single time in his life that he has had his shit together. His brother, Jessie Hall, is the complete opposite. The guy is outgoing, has excellent grades, and tons of friends. Of course, Skylar has friends too, but they have a tendency to get him into trouble. Jessie has good friends. Well, except one. His best friend, Ashton Rivera. That guy sucks, Skylar can't remember a single time in his life he could stand him. He just loves to get a rise out of Skylar, loves to piss him off to no end. The fact that they hooked up once is his main ammunition, and it drives Skylar insane. The things he'd do for that guy to leave him alone for good. Skylar, on the other hand, is an addict with absolutely no self preservation and far too many enemies to count. He gets horrible grades, and participates in even worse stunts for his friend's channel online. He is basically injured at all times, and has racked up enough money in hospital bills for his dad-Mayor Vince Hall-to finally get fed up. So, after a series of bad choices, Skylar is told that one more incident will result in him being kicked out of the house. He doesn't take the threat all that seriously, until Jessie-his only protection-is accepted into a college hours away and will be leaving him. That guy vouching for him is basically the only reason that Skylar's dad has put up with his least favorite son's shenanigans all these years. So, the threat starts to feel more real. Then, it happens, and the only person left for Skylar to rely on is Ashton Rivera-who he begins to realize has some serious secrets. Secrets not even Jessie knows. Secrets that become Skylar's new mission to investigate every detail of. - [!!WARNINGS!! This book will deal with serious topics such as addiction and crime. It was somewhat inspired by my book Stalemate so it will hold some similarities to that as well! Also there's probably going to be a decent amount of violence and even more sexual content.]

"If you love me, you won't leave me." Jessie has believed those words from her boyfriend, Josh, since senior year of high school. She loves him and doesn't want to leave him. Not even when he shouts at her and hits her. Jessie's best friend, Kolleen, can't stand seeing her in that situation. With a bit of convincing - and the worst beating she'd ever received - Jessie agrees to move into an apartment with Kolleen. But not long after, Jessie is scared the worst of her nightmares will soon become a reality. Josh goes missing, and suddenly Jessie would swear she's being followed. One night changes everything, and one person soon changes Jessie's outlook. A responding officer from that fateful night begins to seek her out, at first claiming it's part of his job. As she spends time with her new friend outside of his job, she starts realizing that her feelings are evolving. After being abused for over a year, Jessie is terrified she's falling in love. What's even more terrifying is that he might be, too. She isn't ready for love. Not yet. She makes up her mind that if he is falling, and if he does love her, he'll wait for her to be ready, and if she loves him, she won't let herself hurt him. Guns, revenge and buildings to bomb, what could go wrong? ✮ He came in, gun held out in front of him in one hand while the other was resting on his hip where a sharp dagger gleamed in the light. "Come on out little girl, why not make this easier for both of us. The agency you ran away from just want to have a little talk, that's all." She scoffed internally. Yeah right. Then the footsteps ceased. She peeked to the right, then to the left. Neither direction showed any sign of the intruder. She looked up in front of her and gasped, the glint of steel and smell of death as overwhelming as it was adrenaline inducing, exciting. "Boo." ✮ Murder, accidents, assassinations. Call it what you will, it's all the same, all has the same life breaking, mind shattering consequences - be it for the victim or the bystander. It had shaped Alex in a way no one should be. Broken down and rebuilt into the perfect soldier, one who had the power to change the world, to fight battles that would either make or break the carefully constructed vision we all live in. The only small, minute, really unimportant detail - it's pretty hard to get into a government classified site when you're 15 years old and have a rag-tag team of double-crossing back-stabbers behind you. Not to mention the threat of a world war and ghost hanging above your head. Armed with sarcasm, wit, and a hell of a lot of aggressive intentions, it won't be too long till a sticky situation is all that's ahead of you. Sometimes, running head-first into a situation isn't the best idea. Instead, you gotta play a game. A deadly game where either you have all the pieces on the board, or you have nothing. [previously known as Espionage: double-cross] Thanks for reading :)

This story is not getting the attention it deserves, so I am attempting to "re-brand" it. Maybe no one "gets" it. If you want to read about "Normal" teenagers, maybe this isn't for you, it's more complicated than that. It's about a teenager who doesn't fit it, but doesn't want to, who has the best two friends that anyone could have. Who watched his father lose his job in the Recession and then loses his home, and how he copes, especially when he learns that their new house is haunted and the ghost is in his room. Michael was an average kid, although he's always stood out. He was a school jock but also a skater whose long blond hair almost reaches his waist. When his parents lived in a house in a home owners association like all his other friends, life seemed normal. Then his father lost his job and suddenly those "friends" weren't there anymore--except for his two best friends, Short Round and Dewey. The three are skaters, good ones, who live for girls and their skateboards. They're also basically good kids who take pride in being different without paying attention to it. When Michael loses his home and his family has to move they have his back. And they are there for him when the ghost girl starts following him around. Mariah was murdered when she was just 15, her remains were never found, although no one but her and her ghost friend, Crazy Girl, know where their bodies are buried. The house Michael now lives in is the one where she lived with her family, and her old room is now his. She appears to him one night, trying to taunt him, but against her will she is falling in love with the boy who lives in her old room. Slowly the two begin to fall in love and Mariah tells him her story, and of the hidden danger that lies up the street from him. A dangerous strangers loves to kill little girls, and his sister Kit
