From childhood, Lil's life has been a nightmare. Her mother tried drowning her in the bath as a baby. As a result, she deals with depression and anxiety. When her boyfriend breaks up with her, she decides to get behind the wheel and is tempted to text him one last thing. Imagine her horror when she smashes into another car, the driver someone very close to her. Will she end up like her mom in prison? Will she let despair and guilt drag her back into darkness or will she find hope for a future, as hard as it may be? This is a book I wrote a few years ago before I found Wattpad. Bad Influence
SYNOPSIS: The difference between Derek and I is like trying to count a tall building with over a hundred floors. While he's the type that gets tattoos, parties, sleeps around and smokes chunks with his friends, I'm the kind of girl that secure good grades at school just to make mummy proud. I'm not his type, he calls me a minor and ruffles my hair like a kid but I don't want to be that to him. I want to be everything he wants me to be, I want to be everything he likes in a woman even if it means skipping classes, partying and making mummy sad. I knew coming back to Austin TX after four years and getting to see those magnetic gray orbs that kept pulling me closer, those devilish lips, the smirk that whispers; 'Do what would make your mom disappointed' would be a bad idea. I shouldn't do this, I shouldn't look up to Derek. He's a bad influence, I know but I can't help it. ^^^^ Guys, welcome to my first ever Wattpad novel. 2 years following the covid-19 lockdown, 16 year old Isabel De La Cruz feels fumbled and overwhelmed about school re-opening again. Sure, she might be attending Hollywood Performing Arts High, which is a dream come true, but daily encounters with her ex, Harry Goldwyn, is what she loathes about the situation. He's already let her down twice and she's not willing to hurt again, all for the name of love. For Harry, what once felt like home sweet home, now feels like foreign land, with the occasional hint of deja vu. He only moved back from New York in hopes of winning Isabel's heart back. What will it take for Isabel to act less harsh towards the dumbfounded boy and finally forgive him for all his wrongs he never meant to make in the first place? All Harry wants is another chance to make it up to the only girl he's ever truly ever loved. Third's the charm, but is this all too much to ask? Revolving around the fictional setting of Hollywood Performing Arts in Los Angeles, 2 teenagers and their friends stumble through what seems to be a coming of age coveted in clarity. 4 years truly is a long time for everything to change since their initial encounter.
