Will she let despair and guilt drag her back into darkness or will she find hope for a future, as hard as it may be? This is a book I wrote a few years ago before I found Wattpad. Yep, I'm back with another songwriting era, this time a total contrast to the previous songwriting sessions of 'Faded Daydreams'. I'm personally reflecting upon the aftermath of when my ignorance was bliss, about how it all truly feels like once the daydreams fade and it turns out that it was all just Tainted Illusions to cope. Falling down from cloud 9 and into the total truth, to face a range of emotions I managed to push away and shove aside for four months. Perhaps it's time I face them in order to conclude that chapter of my life. When I found old song drafts from earlier this year, I figured that it would be cool to continue on that storyline and timeframe in order to personally put it behind once and for all. In order to step into the daylight, one must riot through the dark midst first, no matter how cloudy it gets. I'm welcoming the storm proudly :) Started: April 27th Completed: TBD

SYNOPSIS: The difference between Derek and I is like trying to count a tall building with over a hundred floors. While he's the type that gets tattoos, parties, sleeps around and smokes chunks with his friends, I'm the kind of girl that secure good grades at school just to make mummy proud. 2 years following the covid-19 lockdown, 16 year old Isabel De La Cruz feels fumbled and overwhelmed about school re-opening again. Sure, she might be attending Hollywood Performing Arts High, which is a dream come true, but daily encounters with her ex, Harry Goldwyn, is what she loathes about the situation. He's already let her down twice and she's not willing to hurt again, all for the name of love. For Harry, what once felt like home sweet home, now feels like foreign land, with the occasional hint of deja vu. He only moved back from New York in hopes of winning Isabel's heart back. What will it take for Isabel to act less harsh towards the dumbfounded boy and finally forgive him for all his wrongs he never meant to make in the first place? All Harry wants is another chance to make it up to the only girl he's ever truly ever loved. Third's the charm, but is this all too much to ask? Revolving around the fictional setting of Hollywood Performing Arts in Los Angeles, 2 teenagers and their friends stumble through what seems to be a coming of age coveted in clarity. 4 years truly is a long time for everything to change since their initial encounter.
