Seventeen year old John Watson has never been one to shy away from his responsibilities. After basically raising his little sister, Harriet, and dealing with a drunkard of a mother after their father left, he'd learned to take on things as they came, and deal with it. As captain of the rugby team, he was expected to be the best, to train the hardest, to work the longest, to keep his grades on top. Also something he somehow managed, the aspiration to be a doctor a strong drive.
When he meets Sherlock at age sixteen, that wasn't supposed to change. He was expected to uphold all of this, while keeping a relationship going with the 'freak' of the school.
Will John be able to help Sherlock, the man who turns to drugs, violent experiments and blocks out everyone in the world besides John himself, or will he finally break?
