Cas and Dean. Dean and Cas. You would never see one without the other. The Winchester boys had lived next door to Novaks for as long as anyone in the sleepy little town could remember. Cas and Dean were always best friends, joined at the hip was an understatement.
It wasn't until they got into high school, they finally acted upon their feelings of intense love for each other. Inseparable, utterly, stupidly and madly in love. They were both shattered, but their broken edges fit together perfectly. Both suffering from abusive households, both with a brother that they'd die for. Meant for each other.
Until that fateful day, when Cas woke up on their 2 and 1/2 year anniversary, after the best night of his life, and found Dean gone, no note, and his place on the bed cold.
Our story takes place 6 years later, when the Winchesters are back in town for college, and the Novaks never left. It's time for this sleepy town to be reawakened.
Dean and Cas are 23, Sam is 22, Gabe is 24
Deans also more like his early season self, y'know when he was still vaguely in touch with his emotions

Lots of overdoing. Castiel Novak was a 22 years old bass guitarist in a band called "Kings Of Purgatory" with his best friends Dean, Gabe and Benny. The band was gaining popularity and the guys were getting more and more famous everyday; but there was a problem. Cas had been crushing on his fellow band mate for 4 years now. It wasn't THAT bad at first. Yeah, Dean didn't probably didn't share his feelings but he was still there, right next to him, every day; which was more than enough for Cas.
