The above story is based on a ghost story popular in Shanghai. During the Japanese invasion in 1941, a Chinese girl refused to dance with a Japanese soldier. After he shot her down, it is said she returned to the Paramount dance floor(now the Hongdu Theater) to dance again. People who go to the Hongdu Theater have said that they have seen a translucent woman dancing on the floor.

This is a Keyote story. A Japanese ghost has appeared to Paul on the Thornbrush Reservation. The only source of Japanese mythology are the internet and Mei. Mei is Chinese. In this instance, Bai Qian never helped seal Qing Cang's bell which sent her to the mortal realm where she met Ye Hua. This story takes place just as Mo Yuan is about to wake up and goes from there. I am not Chinese and I do not know all of the myths that are involved when it comes to this world.
