Right person wrong time? Yep. I fell in love with a boy when I was just a senior in high school. The only problem? Things happened, people changed, and trust was broken. We separated under not-so-good terms. And now, five years later, we ran into each other for the first time since our parting. But before we get there, I'm going to tell you our story from the beginning...

I wish he hadn't told me that because afterwards I never felt the same for him as I did for the last 13 years of my life.

I had no say in moving to a new town, but it turned out to be better than I expected. I made new friends, screwed up my chances with the guy I liked, dated two other guys, and fought with my family constantly. Sound confusing? Believe me, everything was confusing until I finally ended up with the guy I fell in love with when things started working out.

Now I know what you’re thinking. Me, being the opposite gender, must have developed feelings for my best friend, sometime over the eight years I have known him. I just don't know it yet, or something. Hate to break it to you, but my life is not just some cliché romance novel, where the best friends always ride off into the sunset with a happily ever after. Real life isn't like the movies. And in real life, I don't believe in happy endings.
