Chelsea O'Hara has always prided herself at being practical and confident. But when you have a dad that still can't decide what he wants to do when he grows up, a drug-addicted, screamo singing older brother and a little sister that want's to dye her hair bright green, being practical isn't the easiest thing in the world to be. Then, throw in two best friends that bicker like it's a new fashion trend and a boy that acts like he lives off happy pills.

Let's just say that Chelsea's normal, organised life (which is mostly conjured up in her imagination) goes down the drain.
