Kuchu is a word (plural: kuchus), apparently of Swahili origin, that encompasses all LGBTIQ+ identities. The best translation to English would be 'Queer'. Originally a derogatory name for a homosexual, "kuchu" has been reclaimed by some in the LGBTIQ+ community.
