Wala siyang ibang ginawa kundi isubsob ang kanyang sarili sa pagaaral at trabaho. Marami ang nakakakita ng kanyang mga ginagawa kaya't hindi maiiwasan ang sa kanya ay may humahanga. Ngunit ipinangako niya sa kanyang sarili na pagaaral muna ang kanyang aatupagin. Para sakanya may tamang panahon sa mga bagay na patungkol sa pagibig, ipinagpasa Diyos na lamang niya ang bagay na iyon. Subalit isang araw hindi niya maintidihan ang kanyang sarili patungkol sa isang lalaki na naging dahilan kung bakit siya nawalan ng trabaho.
Pilit niya itong iniiwasan dahil kapag makita niya ito o marinig man llang ang kanyang pangalan ay nagsisismula ng umusok ang kanyang tenga at ilong sa sobrang inis sa binata ng dahil sa ginawa nito. Subalit tila ba pinaglalaruan siya ng tadhana, dahil hindi niya lubos maisip na mararamdaman niya ang bagay na iyon sa binata.
