Heartcathing Pretty Cure

Note: The series takes place 35 years into the future, where Tsubomi and the previous Cures are adults. It features new locations, characters, items and villains.

Petal River; an extradimensional realm composed of many flowers, gardens and streams was once ruled by the gentle, Queen Printemps. Queen Printemps was although captured by her evil twin sister, Hourglass while using power of the twenty-two magical Pretty Cure Seeds cast a spell and transformed three of the seeds into her loyal minions known as the Poisonus Three: Oleander, Datura and Nightshade.

So two small fairies named Bud and Spice flew down to earth in hope of finding the legendary warriors known as Cure Spring and Cure Ocean.
