Welp, I've never written a fanfiction before, but after thumbing through page after page of mediocre Undertale 'fics, I felt compelled to write one.
The subject of this tale is Chara's ambiguous backstory. (for the sake of simplicity I'm going to call her a girl) There's so much about her that's left up to the player's imagination. Why did she climb Mt Ebott? What about her parents/family? Why does she want to erase the world? That's what I'm going to interpret.
I've been both intrigued and disturbed by her, and she's a character I've been thinking quite a lot about. So, here we go.

This society would gradually be challenged by the Solar Warriors, a rebellion that directly opposed his rule, sparked by tensions risen by the difference between SANS's mundane autocracy and his father GASTER II's militaristic dictatorship. {NOTICE: Please be mindful that this take contains visceral descriptions of violence & gore, domestic violence, and child abuse.} However, all of this would skyrocket thanks to the sudden introduction of one human child named Chara to the monster society. An outlier amidst the many fallen humans, she was allowed to live her fullest life in spite of SANS's various promises to his people to shatter the barrier which held the entire species in submission, a grand conspiracy. This would all culminate in one human's intrusion into the world of monsterkind known only by their stage name Shifty. Supervised by GASTER II's bygone machine celebrity METTA, they would embark on a relentless spree across the kingdom, slaughtering hundreds of innocents in their path for the sake of dramatic flair. Chara must now overcome her own deep-rooted demons and evade the ruthless Solar Warriors in order to become the western hero she always imagined herself as, protecting both her loved ones and the broader monster kingdom from the tyranny that METTA has rebirthed to bestow. Chara. The demon that comes when people call it's name. The title given to her by everyone that blamed her for the genocides. For what Frisk did just because they wanted to see what would happen. Because they refused to own up to their actions, and instead blamed the only person who could realistically be blamed. Chara. The human, who, despite her flaws, still tried to be a good person. She was forced into this endless cycle of murder and animosity against her will. She never wanted any part in this. Frisk, blaming Chara for their own atrocities, believes her to finally have given up. They think they are above consequences because its a game to them, that they will always win... Soon they will learn that they can't run away from them forever. Soon, the darkest pit of hell will open and swallow them whole. -All characters in this story are NOT mine except for one, she is my character. And she is not, I repeat, NOT a self insert. She is meant to be a dark mirror of Chara in a lot of ways, but similar to her in many more aspects. The others belong to Toby fox, the original owner of Undertale, as well as to Temmie Chang(hope I spelled it right.) This exists because I feel like too many people blamed Chara for our own actions. Because that was easier than to admit that genocide was a path that we chose of our own volition. This was especially true in the earlier years of the fandom, and is still true even today-to an extent. Due to that, and my combined love of the character, I just knew it was worth writing a happy ending for them, or in this story as I interpret Chara to be female. I know that they are in the cannon of Undertale, non-binary or genderless, but this a is fanfiction. I wrote the rules, I'm the "God" here. If you don't like that, then leave. "Psychotic tendencies..." As a child, Y/n L/n had a good life. She was always complimented for her h/c hair and e/c eyes. She had a loving little sister and a caring mom and good friends. So, if she had the perfect life, why did she throw herself into Mt. Ebott? When Y/n awoke in the Underground she immediately noticed how much nicer the monster's are. They all brought a smile to her face and she felt at home. Toriel was always a mom to her, Sans and Papyrus were brother's, and Frisk was her best friend. She couldn't have ever wanted more. So, why did she kill all of them? Her and Chara had killed everyone more times than countable together. Chara was happy they found someone they could connect with, and Y/n was happy someone accepted the fact that she was a killer. They got along perfectly, the best of friends!
