NOT EDITED! *Prologue* "Mom?" I quickly turn. "Yes, my love?" I answer softly. Mason sat next to me in the booth, his blue eyes look droopy and tired, as he started to rub his face lazily. "I'm tired," he yawned loudly causing me and everyone else at the table to chuckle. "Come her baby," I say moving my napkin from my lap to the table, before opening my arms for him. He lazily scoots into my lap before cuddling closer to me. I wrapped my arms around him before moving out of the booth, which is not that easy to do with a seven year old clinging to you tightly. Once I was out, I sigh before asking Rose to pack the rest of me and Mason's food up for us, she nods with a soft smile. Mason moves before wrapping his arms around my neck and snuggling his head into the crock of my neck. I kiss his head before, walking out of the dinner. I walk around the dinner to the side next to the forest. I feel Mason move before I hear his tired voice speak, "Mommy sing me the song," he says softly before snuggling into my neck again. Sighing I start singing "The other night dear, as I lay sleeping" "I dreamed I held you in my arms," "But when I woke de-" I was cut off by a deep growl that caused Mason's head to shoot up with his eyes wide. With out thinking I took off toward the dinner, holding Mason tightly to me. "Momm- Aaaaahhhhh!!" ********************************** WARNING!! *Rejected at First Sight* Spin-off series (By GirlWhoChasesRainbow) 🌶 "Oomph!" The sound rushed out of my mouth as the door opened before I could reach the handle and my body hits a wall. I stumble backwards slightly before a hand wraps around my waist, keeping me from falling. Looking up, I realize this wasn't a wall, but instead a very attractive male. A very messy, but definitely sexy, mop of black hair sat on top of his head. When I looked closer, I realized that it was a deep shade of brown that was probably often mistaken for black. My gaze traveled to his eyes, where I found two deep ocean blue eyes looking at me. I kept going further down to his too crooked nose to be called straight, which I assumed came from too many fights. His skin was tanned, but an olive tone suggested he had a natural darker complexion to begin with. My eyes finally found his pink, very plump lips which were resting slightly open. His lips jerked up into a lopsided sneer as his hand snapped back to his side. The sudden movement left my back cold, as if his palm had been a source of warmth. "You've got to be kidding me!" His tone dripped with disgust. My eyes turned to questioning as I looked back up into his eyes. I brought my hand up to rub my nose, squinting at the slight pain. "What the hell." He grumbled. "I, Jay Julian, reject you as my mate." He, or Jay, said with venom lacing his voice. He quickly turned and walked down the now vacant hallway with no glance back. Rejection? What the hell was that? Was it some sort of local lingo? How did I get rejected on my first day? The first person I make eye contact with at this school rejects me. I guess that's how this school works, if the hottest boy in school rejects you, you're a nobody. If that's how this small town school worked, then I was screwed. So much for making friends, or mates, or whatever they call people in this place. I shake those ocean blue eyes out of my head and continue into the office to start my new life.
