Hati Aku Seperti Pekan Hantu

Pekan Hantu adalah istilah yang digunakan untuk menyebut Pekan atau Kota yang telah ditinggalkan. Pekan tersebut biasanya ditinggalkan kerana aktiviti ekonomi yang ada sudah kehabisan dan telah pun gagal atau kerana bencana alam atau yang disebabkan oleh manusia seperti perang, pencemaran alam dan sebagainya.

" The term "ghost town", derived from the American West & Midwest, refers to a town where people once lived but are no longer there, though the vestiges of civilization still stand - buildings, roads, equipment, etc. Ghost towns originated from very small towns dotting the American West and Midwest during the 19th century's Manifest Destiny (the move to populate the entire continent East to West). Towns became ghost towns due to widespread illness, fights with enemies (like native americans, mexicans, other colonials like French or Spanish, or local feuds), the advent of transcontinental railroad wiping out a town's viability financially (if the railroad ran closer to another town than theirs), weather abnormalities (hurricanes, tornadoes), blights, locust swarms, droughts, plagues, and other natural disasters. These resulted in killing off the town members or driving them from their homes permanently. Such towns are referred to as Ghost Towns.

When Adam Lambert says "my heart is a ghost town", he's saying the ability to love is still in place (the buildings, the infrastructure), but there are only memories inhabiting his love (no current residents). "
