He's my mum's best friend's son. I met him and took an interest. He was the cute guy giving me advice before I entered high school. He was the sweet guy who played hide-and-seek and blind's man bluff with his little sister, my little brother and I. He was the guy I talked to whenever my mum wanted to visit his mum. The guy who helped me when I first entered high school. The one who showed me to my tutor class when I got lost. He, then, was the guy who waved at me every time he saw me. Slowly, he turned into the guy who simply smiled at me in the corridors. Then all that was gone.

Layla Rose,at the age of 11, met Caden Waters just before she started high school.

Caden Waters, at the age of 12, became Layla's friend.

I wouldn't go too far and say they were best friends, but they were friends none of the less.

Gradually, conversations turned to waves. Waves turned to smiles. And smiles turned to nothing. They hadn't spoken after she was in Year 8, where she was 13, and he was in Year 9 at the age of 14.

Now starting college, Layla is still unable to forget Caden and the shock of the lifetime he gave her on his last day of high school. After a year of not seeing him, she's come to his college and is in for one hell of a ride.

Does he remember her? Has he a girlfriend? Is he still the bad boy he turned into? Will he acknowledge her? Will they rekindle their friendship? Or will it be more than just platonic?

p.s. This is my first book :) I hope you guys really enjoy it.
