The Beatles visit Mr. Wallace, a wealthy recluse, in the country for a weekend, expecting nothing interesting to happen. Almost immediately after entering the limo, however, George starts feeling a sense of unease. Three of the Beatles arrive at the estate, but when Paul's car goes missing, the others start wondering what's really going on. Why does the house staff seem so indifferent about the disappearance? That's the big question on the Beatles' minds, but no matter how many questions they ask the eager to please house staff, the mystery only thickens. Usually, the lads from Liverpool are quicker than the crowd, but, one day, the fans happen to grab a hold of none other than The Beatles' bassist, Paul McCartney, effectively beating his body and mind to a pulp. This angst/hurt comfort story tells the tale of Paul McCartney, who has been scarred by the brutality of his attack, and his three friends, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, who are trying their best to help Paul and his paranoid state of mind. Will the three friends help Paul? Or will they only make his situation worse? If so, will Paul go so far as to quit being a Beatle? Read "I'll Cry Instead" to find out!
