an almost decade old story. * "one tragedy changed their lives." a story with dialogues and minimal description, in which a boy ends up in the hospital after a car accident and his friend slowly collapsing under the weight of his tortured mind. but what actually happened that one fateful night and what other secrets will be unraveled? * two main male pov's, recognizable through italics and normal text. a story written unlike any other. i hope you'll find comfort in it just as much as i have. be aware that this is a realistic story. * slow-burn start, but it picks up. don't let the number of chapters fool you; the average reading time for each is less than a minute . i came up with the story of the two friends when i was still quite young and i'm by no means a writer, so it deeply apologize if it sucks ass. feel free to vote and comment or point out any spelling mistakes or confusing paragraphs. it needs some editing and possibly some small changes or added chapters for clarity and better character development, but as for now, this first completed story will do. original story: around 2014. first upload: 2020. re-upload: 2023.

There are a lot of things you don't really think about until they happen to you. Take rape, for instance. I always thought, "That won't happen to me. I have a boyfriend. I trust him. He would never take advantage of me like that..." I couldn't have been more wrong. Love in this day and age is often confused for manipulation and abuse. The warning signs are here. The things we say will tell us everything that is wrong. You are worth more than what you think you are. It's not your fault. If they tell you otherwise, get out. Burn the bridge. Always remember someone is waiting for you to walk into their life. Someone needs you. Someone loves you. Getting away from all of the wrong people and finding the right ones could save you. I can promise you right now that it saved me. These are the journal entries and selected poems from my first experience of love that left a unpleasant taste in my mouth- quite literally. I am putting this out for the whole world to see because I hope everyone will learn from my experience. People can see. We have no excuses to continue living our lives in ignorance. ...WARNING... Leaving the pain of her past behind her she starts a fresh in a new town with her older brother. Meeting the towns bad boy was not on her agenda but every time she saw him she was intrigued. He was rude and had a terrible attitude, but his eyes didn't show anything but pain which is something she knew all too well. They are complete opposites but have one thing in common.
