Grim Reaper Faith Elrose is one of the few female reapers in the dispatch that reaps souls in the Collection Division. At the time she was alive, she was cursed before her birth due to her parents foolishness, giving her black cat features. Her little sister was taking the family name, as Faith was downgraded to a personal maid for her. Throughout her entire life, Faith was abused by her father. Eventually she drove herself to suicide, thus becoming a grim reaper as punishment.
Six years after her death, something started happening to the souls of the bodies the reapers were to extract. Not only did it cause problems for the reapers, but to the human who walk among them as well, for Queen Victoria sent her Guard Dog after it to track it down to kill.
With all of the chaos running around, Faith has to partner up with the Guard Dog, keeping a watchful eye on him and his secret weapon, who was disguised as a butler under the name Sebastian Michaelis, to work together and put an end to this madness.
But why does she feel like this cold-hearted demon is kind to her? Is there more to them than the eye can see?
