I looked up at the man in front of me. He was HOT. But he was also forbidden fruit. He was Alex's brother for God's sake! My boyfriend's brother, none the less. I shouldn't feel at all attracted to him, but the way he was looking at me right now... This wasn't right. He leaned closer though. I was losing all control right then. Running away to a small town nearby was not the best idea you could have ever come up with, but it served well as the town agreed to keep you and put you to work. Mainly with hand-to-hand combat training. You were never allowed to do anything of the sort when at the hands of your mother, so it was nice for a change. But what were they training you for? The war. No one knew you were the princess, and they were expecting to have you frontline back into the kingdom you tried so hard to escape from to fight in the war. Escaping now to anywhere else in the world seemed to be the only good option. One person in particular wasn't going to let you do that. In Kara's village at the age if fifteen your wings are freed from the chains that have bound them. Once you can fly you must cross the White Desert, a land covered almost entirely in ice and snow, and the inhabitants are not all friendly. Gods and goddesses of myth live with in the constraints if the dimension beside creatures of flight and fancy; beside them hide those of dreams, be they day dreams or the darkest nightmare. Kara and her freinds now must find out how to survive in a land where little is what it seems and a villain can be made of a hero or a hero made of a villian. Atop all this sits Fate, pulling strings to make her puppets jump and keep things intresting, because she has always loved a good show. Until the show started to change, when one little girl in particular wants things to change, because if leaving means Death, well Fate has another thing coming, a new Queen is coming.
