Dipper never wanted a war to happen between humanity and creatures from an interstellar dimension.
He never wanted for people to get hurt.
Of course, he was able to defeat Bill with the help of his family, but now five years have passed. The memories haunt him, it's almost as if his mind is trying to taunt him. He swore never to step foot in Gravity Falls, but he got a message. Someone is begging him to return in order to help them get rid of a villain. As much as he hates the idea of going back, how can he leave innocent people to suffer?

The last day Mabel and their parents saw him was one day before school. And haven't seen him since. All Mabel found in his room was a note. It was obviously a clue but she was never good at figuring this stuff out dipper was. But when she did get it the answer frightened her slightly bringing back memories.
