Color and Nightmare have been fighting over Killer for a long time, trying to get him to stay and switch sides over and over. But nobody has asked Killer how this makes him feel. Feeling all that pain, being reminded off his horrible past, and then getting it all torn away from and being forced to start over again.
Killers soul has been at the peak of both redemption and pure insanity nonstop to the point where he can't even tell who he's meant to be anymore, and neither of his two 'allies' seem to notice it. All he can do is hope and serve, and maybe one day, make his decisions himself.
