Far in the future, the human race has devoted itself to the pursual of beauty. Those who do not meet the standard of perfection become outcasts, cursed to live a life working in the mines and factories that cover much of Earth.

Melody doesn't meet that standard.

And now, abandoned by her own family, Melody is cast into a group of misfits heading for freedom. With pressure on all sides, Melody must ignore her conscious and choose what is really better- freedom, or beauty.
