Dawn: A Short Story

Once again, another work created for English class at school. We were instructed to make a story no longer than 250 words, and I was able to hit that without going back and editing stuff out. But I feel like it needs more; there was too much of an abrupt stop at the end. And I like the idea so, surprise, I think this will also kind of serve as a sneak peek to a novel that is in the works.
