Once again, another work created for English class at school. We were instructed to make a story no longer than 250 words, and I was able to hit that without going back and editing stuff out. But I feel like it needs more; there was too much of an abrupt stop at the end. And I like the idea so, surprise, I think this will also kind of serve as a sneak peek to a novel that is in the works. This isn't related to this story but, Hi i'm Kate. this is my first fully written story, though its only a short story i'm very proud of myself for fully committing to one theme and finishing it. This short story is very over dramatic and complicated because its my first story but I hope you enjoy. Description: "What are your summer plans?" My teacher asks the class. My classmates respond with the basic responses, vacation, beach, and hanging out with friends. I respond with vacation, but I don't even want to go to Orange County. It's not too far from where I live, but Sana Cruz and OC is a long drive. The bell rings, that means it's summer, that means I have to spend a whole summer away and with my dad, but my friends and I have plans to go have a bonfire at the peer tonight so at least ill have that before I leave all summer.
