Bloodless

"'Impossible,' he murmurs, staring down at the crimson liquid covering his hands, 'this is impossible.'

I grunt, sitting up to glower at him, 'Whether it's possible or not, it's happening and I'm about to bleed out on this floor so if you wouldn't mind getting your head out of your ass and helping me, it would be much appreciated.'

Gian rips his gaze from his blood-stained fingers and turns to look at me, his eyes widening as he realizes that I am less than okay. He scrambles to his feet and rushes to my side as he tries to apply pressure to the gash on my stomach.

'Are you sure your parents are human?' He questions hurriedly, racing over to grab the jacket of one of our fallen attackers.

'One hundred percent,' I cringe as a sharp pain shoots up my side, 'why?'

'Because that means you're Bloodless.'"

Amira Cade Bell is a musical prodigy. She has the uncanny ability to distinguish between any note which aided her in becoming a virtual whiz on the piano almost overnight.
