The Stone Keepers Chronicle:

There are many plains of existence, and each one is real and distinct to those who dwell there.
In the beginning there was, only, darkness. Yet it was from this dark void that the first spark of life, ignited into the solid form of 'The Chal.ced.o.ny', a pure effervescent crystal stone, the embodiment of all creation a vessel with the power to give or take life. A race of pure immortal souls emerged from within the stone; they possessed great power, the power of creation derived from 'The Chal.ced.o.ny. And the pure immortals were its keepers, able to harness and direct its power.
The keepers projected a vision beyond the void and created a central plain, calling it 'Sius Quina'. Here they placed the stone, creating a barrier of time all about it, opened by a multitude of doors through which life's essence could flow into all the realms and worlds now forming beyond the borders of 'Sius Quina'. Over the stone and its time portals, there grew a protective sphere that could only be entered by the keepers and here the keepers rested while life evolved.
Thus began 'The Age of Brightness' during which evolution bore fourth rapidly, many hemispheres, worlds, realms and civilizations grew. Some where real in solidity, some incorporeal, some just mere thoughts and visions. The keepers cultivated the growth of 'Sius' and allowed others to act on their behalf, these emissaries erected temples and huge monuments in praise of the Keepers. In this moment of weakness the Keepers forgot to install harmony, wars erupted followed by darkness which became the doom of 'Sius', a fate to which all were bound.
