Two boys. One girl.

Zachary King, her protector, ever since the fifth grade where Jane was branded a freak. He was the one to beat up anyone who dared to hurt her either physically or mentally. It was simple really, hurt her and be hurt.

James Young was her comfort. If the spiteful words people said slipped past Zachary and got to her, he would be her shoulder to cry on. He was the one to show up with ice cream and sappy movies to watch.

Jane Williams no longer lived a peaceful life many hated her, loathed her, almost everyone actually. Everyone but her boys. They kept her sane and happy.

But what would happen when they split? What if the boys couldn't heal the the final straw?

-

"We'll miss you Jane." James spoke with unshed tears in his eyes as he pulled her into hug.

"Promise you won't forget us?" She was surprised to find that Zach had finally spoken.

She feared that they'd forget her, that the distance would force them to drift apart. She didn't dare to voice these thoughts. What could she do? Nothing that's what. She only smiled through the tears and reached forward interlocking both of her pinkies with theirs.

"Promise."

"Please," I heard the boy say softly, interrupting my thoughts, but I didn't dare move closer to him. "Just let me explain." He pleaded me to stay with him. "Wh-what, how?" I stared at him in awe. That can't be true. I must be hallucinating because a wolf cannot turn to a human. "Please, just don't freak out or scream. I'll explain everything if you give me a chance. I'm injured, so I can't run after you," He said then stared at my bleeding shoulder and gave me an apologetic, hurt-filled look, "You're injured as well, just let us both have a talk. Please." I had the urge to listen to him. The way his eyes looked at me was enough, but I was actually excited to know what just happened as well. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "M-me?" I asked pointing my finger to my chest. "Do you see anyone else around as beautiful and breathtaking as you are?" He asked me not failing to make me blush. I could tell he saw my pink cheeks because he put his hand on my cheek sending sparks down my spine. "Wait, one more thing before you leave," he said scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. "What the hell did you do!?" I heard a feminine voice behind me. I groaned and turned around to meet a very angry face. I have never seen a girl this pissed before and honestly speaking, I am a little bit afraid. "She knew what she was getting into. Everyone knows I am player and I never stick to one girl." I shrugged and turned around to walk away. I didn't even take one step when I felt a firm hand on my t-shirt. She took a fist full of my shirt and turned me around so I was facing her. She then held my collar. Damn, she is almost the same height as me and if I would have been any normal guy, I would be terrified of her. "You don't treat girls like trash, asshole. She has feelings, she is not some toy that you got bored from after playing for a while. Apologize to her." She said through gritted teeth pointing towards Leah who was crying her eyes out. I noticed the crowd that started forming around us. I shrugged her hand away from my t-shirt and glared at her. "I will not apologize to anyone." I said slowly through gritted teeth. She is starting to piss me off. No one clashes me and no one stands against me. Even though I am new here, everyone knows that. I saw her eyes go blank and before I could duck, her fist made contact with my face and I felt sharp pain coursing through my nose. I held my nose tight and felt warm liquid flowing to my lips. Olivia Claire is a 16 year old high scholar. She is a fighter who never took anyone's shit and is famous for it. She mostly minds her own business occasionally helping people that might need her. Carter Grayson is a 16 year old guy recently transferred to Olivia's high school. Tall, handsome guy with lean figure, hazel eyes, brown hair and smile to die for. He has been known to be a player in his last high school and he plans on continuing that identity. So, what happens when a typical bad boy clashes with a not-so-nerd bad girl.

I know everyone at this school, but with his features hidden behind his mask I can't tell who he is. "Sure, I would love to." Did I just say that? I agreed to dance with a random boy who I don't know. He takes my hand and leads me to the dance floor. We dance for a few songs and then he asks me, "Would you like to take a walk? I know the perfect place." I nod and he pulls me behind him off the dance floor. We leave the hotel and start walking down a little path. At the end of the path I notice a little fountain surrounded by candles. I wonder if he set this up. We walk over to the fountain and we sit down on the edge. Ali Baker once adored her pack-until her mother's death forced her father to flee, shattering her world and leaving behind her best friend and first love, Ronan Black. Years later, she turns down Ivy League offers to attend college back home, determined to discover if Ronan is her fated mate. He is-but he already has a girlfriend. As undeniable feelings and their bond resurface, Ronan is torn between loyalty and destiny. When a dangerous vendetta emerges, targeting Ali, the two must fight for their love and their lives, forcing Ronan to confront the dark legacy of his father's past before it destroys them both. **** 'No! No! No! This is not happening!' Ronan panicked as he spoke to me through our mate bond. I could hear the defeat in his voice as I was taken further and further away from him. 'I want you to know that I love you, Ronan. These past few months have been the happiest of my life. I only wished I could have returned the favor to you.' 'Don't say it like you're saying goodbye.' He was in full distraught now. Ronan's voice was breathy and cracked as he spoke to me. 'I'm not. I know you'll find me again.' 'Yeah, I promise. I'll find you, baby. Hold on, ok?' 'I will. I will wait for you. I love you.' 'I love you too, Ali, more than anything. Please just keep -' Suddenly, I was alone. The mate bond was a funny thing. It had its limits. The bond worked like a rubber band. When we were close to each other, it pulled and strained against us, pulling our souls together and allowed us to hear the other's thoughts. That bond allowed us to feel the other's emotions and pain. It was a fantastic thing to be a part of. However, just like taking a rubber band and pulling it as far as possible, it loses strength before breaking entirely. Warning: Story contain graphic details of violence, torture, sexual activity, and curse words.
