Amaris was an orphan. She still is. But she has always felt... different. Not in the way she is an orphan, but herself. However, after her first day back at school, something goes terribly wrong. This forces her to change in ways she never thought were possible. Voices in her head, sudden black outs and seeming to never get hurt, drives her into insanity. When revealed, can she handle the truth? Preview - My body was full of adrenaline and a new feeling escalated my body. It filled me to the brim with pleasure. Voices behind me were screaming at me and people tugged on me to release him. I threw them a viscous look. "Leave me alone!" I snapped, spiralling out of control, "Or you'll be next!" Isla returns home after a violent attack that left her recovering in the hospital. She has spent the last four years living near another pack. On the verge of making a decision that would separate her from her pack forever, she decides to accept an invitation from her brother to spend the summer on the territory that she was born and raised on. In her exile, her birth pack had been taken over by Alpha Alec's Dark Moon. The new pack's warriors now inhabit the territory of her youth. With a reputation of having no remorse in killing large swaths of wolves in packs they take over, it was amazing that her family survived the attack. And furthermore, her brother invited her back. There has to be more to the situation than the folklore shared with her before she left. She was jumping in with both feet and would either get to see this new pack or run away again. This time for good. A/N: This is a beloved story to me. I have published it here in its entirety because I would rather share something I love than commercialize and monetize it. I have a career that is not writing, and this is my joy. Please, leave comments for me as you read. That is more rewarding than the change I would make publishing. Warning: This story is about genuinely flawed characters and a less than perfect relationship. Please enjoy this story as a guilty pleasure and not as a guide to relationships.
