The Glitch
Every 100 years there's supposed to be a new one of us. But the newest one vanished when the world needed him most. Now people, are either fearful of us or hate us it sounds like. He was really supposed to be the next one, there's only supposed to be one of us, but there's two. They call me a glitch, I'll be able to learn all different elements just like my brother, but also I'm the only one who has some form of touchable body even when I'm in the spirit world. I can leave my body and let it walk around like a ghost. Maybe we've been in the ice for 100 years maybe less they don't exactly specify how long we've really been in there. But, I break away, I know his uncle, and I'd met his father. But the prince, even when I haven't met him in human form before he's my best friend, but if he knew who my brother was, and could track him down.... I hate to think what could happen. I'm just lying here in stillness and darkness wondering why. Why did this have to happen to my mom? We have nothing we can't even afford a house. Here I am a 14 year old boy that lives in a shelter home. Mom says one day we'll get out. But I've lost all hope. And I know my mom has no hope either. If she did I wouldn't have to hear her cry herself to sleep at night. I hate seeing her in so much pain. I wish, I could get a job. Maybe since I'm younger and a boy they'll hire me. Who am I kidding? My mom's in her 30's she's not old either. Sometimes the idiots that run this place kick my mom out for the night because she's making too much noise after hours.
