Peculiar ~ E.O'Connor

Emily Knight is far from normal. Her parents lock her away in her basement ever since she showed her peculiarity to the world. She is only allowed out when she is at school. Emily sees a bird outside the small window of the basement one day and she follows it. It takes her to a boat and she rides away from her home. She ends up on an island and she's taken into a cave area, she then enters a house. This is where she meets her friends for life, and the love of her life.
