I'm not good with descriptions but basically Eliana is a 15 year old who is kind of a outcast because her family is poor and she's a "freak" but she soon finds out that she actually belongs to a group of people known as The Underlings- A group of social outcasts who are a little bit more than ordinary. They learn about why they were forced into poverty and what to do with the powers they possess.

"A leech like you would never understand the depths of my trust for this girl." The God of Water stands behind her, like a bodyguard. "Giving up has never been an option for you, perhaps taking the garbage out of your way can help you find your freedom." The mysterious man says. Often feeling alone and out of place she finds herself feeling guilty, and even more so after her parents die in a tragic car accident. To which she believes is all her fault. As Annie and her brother Alex try and hold themselves together, it seems that the more they try to hold on, the faster they fall apart. Annie then begins to be in denial for her parents' death, just as a new student arrives at Cain High school. With tensions rising and suspistions growing, Annie has yet to discover the real meaning of who she is and was born to be.
