Let's go back, before Harry Potter defeated Lord Voldemort. Before the Lily and James Potter were so brutally murdered. Before Hermione Granger had her heart broken.

Now, before all that, there was a girl. A rather smart girl who preferred the company of books over people but who also loved ferociously and endlessly. A Pureblood who loved everyone, no matter their blood status. Her parents lived in quite a modest house, hiding their true riches in Muggle London. Each day she would walk down the street towards Diagon Alley with her parents, her light blonde hair catching the sunlight, her green eyes always sparkling with wonder. Cassandra Waverly was her name.

Sirius Black was never the "favorite child" growing up. No, he was always the "bad boy" living in the shadow of his younger brother. Then, one day, someone looked at him. Her green eyes searched and looked at him. Truly looked at him. He's been in love ever since. But the only problem is that her family is known as the blood traitors. His family would not be pleased.

Everyone saw me as perfect, I always had been my whole life. I was Regulus Black, I was raised to be perfect. I was everything that my parents wanted me to be. Pureblood, Slytherin, and the opposite of my brother. My brother was Sirius Black, known as the heart throb of Hogwarts. My parents hated him. He had been sorted into Gryffindor. He had been set free. I have always been jealous of him, he isn't stuck being controlled. He has forgotten about me, moved on completely. He once promised me that we would both escape together, but he broke it. How could I forgive him for that? He ran away over the summer and left me there. "Sorry." I was pulled out of my thoughts when I heard that oh so beautiful voice. "Sorry Marisa, I didn't mean to bump into you!" Some random kid who I didn't know exclaimed. Cassandra Smith is a girl who doesn't have the greatest childhood but yeah has somewhat a good one. She hates her parents, due to an insident. (if you read you'll eventually find out.) James loves her like a sister. Cass think that she's a muggle till she's sixteen and gets her letter to Hogwarts. She knows Sirius, Remus and Peter. It followed many of the Pureblood children; Some embraced it, like Rabastan Lestrange, turning into a cruel twisted man, ready to continue the cycle, to let it loose on his children. Some accepted it, like Narcissa Black, who obeyed her Husband even though it was not who she truly wanted to be with. Some hid from it, like Regulus Black, who used his brother's shadow like a shield, until the shadow turned into a spotlight, and he couldn't hide anymore. Some Ran from it, Like Sirius Black, who escaped the sharp claws of his parents only to shove the people he loved in the way, saving himself at a high cost. But the reoccurring factor was that it always caught up to them. Rabastan made it there like a race, running to the cruelty and the cold of being a pureblood. Narcissa was dragged there as her words and protests were drowned out by her husband's shouts. Regulus drowned in the burdens of who he had become and what he had done to avoid the very thing he was. Sirius fell, and from where he had climbed out of the reach of his parents, he went sweeping under until he was stuck. But Katherina Astraea Travers didn't have to run, or fall, or drown. She was already there. WARNING: Mature content such as Violence, eating disorders, foul language, abuse, underage use of alcohol/drugs, Sexual assault, Rape, and Maybe (will label if so) Smut.
