The Last Romanov: Book One
Anastasia "Stacey" Alexandra Yekaterina Romanova (nee Feodorovna in New York) has lived in Manhattan, New York for as long as she could remember. She knew nothing about her past, or having royal ties with the infamous Russian royal family. She had no idea that she was related to the last Romanov rulers until her mother declared her true identity just a few weeks after her seventeenth birthday.
She reluctantly agrees to visit her grandmother and attend an entirely new school for the rest of the year. While attending Arcadia Prep, Stacey runs into the Seventh Crown Prince of England, Geoffrey Windsor, who eagerly escorts her to her first class of the day. She finds herself immediately catching feelings for Geoffrey. But when she learns that Geoffrey already had an obnoxious girlfriend, Dauphine Vivienne Anjou of France, he tells Stacey that he's ready to break up with her, despite the consequences he knew if the duo called quits. Stacey gets scared when she finds out what he'll break up with her at some point after she got a strange warning from her past relatives.
Stacey finally learns to ignore the Romanov's warning when Geoffrey asks if she would like to visit Windsor. She agrees, and they go to Windsor together. There, Stacey forms a bond with George, Charlotte, and Louis. She forms an even stronger bond with the adult royals. Stacey, Geoffrey, and their friends must navigate their way through High School, royal duties, jealousy, and threats (mostly aimed at Geoffrey). An unexpected attack occurs just hours after Queen Elizabeth's funeral was over, leaving everyone in shock. Stacey promises herself to get revenge on the person who had threatened to end Geoffrey's life.
