Freddy Frankfurt had a rough life as a foster kid from a broken family. He was picked on and bullied ever since he could remember, and even as an adult, was the subject of ridicule on an every day basis. The one thing that Freddy had was a vivid imagination. He loved to invent things, that he called contraptions, and vowed one day to be a millionaire when he came up with the next big thing.

Stumbling on one of his early contraptions, Freddy gets it to work. Speaking into an old rotary phone attached to a broken television, he hears a voice on the other end. He asks the person on the other end to kill someone. Freddy asks him to kill one of the people that still picks on him often. When his arch enemy ends up missing, and his kitchen floor is covered with pools of blood, Freddy believes he can control people with Contraption Number 12.

Will more people who wronged Freddy Frankfurt end up dead? Will Freddy be able to control the beast he has awakened? What will become of Contraption Number 12?
