Five is the magic number in the Sector System-five Sectors, five years between Drafts... But there are only four so-called "weaknesses." And each Sector has one: rashness (Sector 2), egoism (Sector 3), ignorance (Sector 4), and passion (Sector 5). One weakness defines each Sector. That is, except for Sector 1. Because they are the "pure" entity, the ones protecting the nation from the other Sectors' impurities. So when Layla Morton, an eighteen-year-old girl from Sector 5, is transferred into Sector 1 during the Draft, there is only thing that she is sure of: that she is from Sector 5; her weakness is having too much passion.
