I can see, I can hear, but what I can't do is speak for myself. My own silence is deafening. *Pardon my word choice.* I've never been able to speak, as soon as I was able I was sent to learn ASL (American Sign Language). I was then sent to regular public school and I love it, the sounds of the students talking. Being able to be a regular person, well, as close to regular as I can be without talking.
