Everyone who is familiar with the story of Les Miserables is familiar with the tale of Marius Pontmercy and his love Cosette. Their love story is able to cast a tiny glimmer of hope upon the tragic tale. However, what if the origins of their love had not been as bright as written down? Valjean has passed away before the young lovers had yet to lock eyes, leaving the young Cosette alone with feelings of abandonment and depression.
