Isobel Holt is seventeen years old, nearly eighteen. She's been best friends with Drew and Ben Stevens since she can remember. She has suffered some horrible emotional abuse from her dads ex-wife and watched her dad suffer from physical abuse. Her dad is no longer married to her ex-step mother from hell but she seems to follow Isobel wherever she goes.
The only way she can escape the memories is to continue her life as normal with Drew, Ben and the help of both families by her side. However, one night Isobel is confronted by her ex-step mother from hell and it leaves the boys asking questions. Isobel keeps putting it off but as her and Drew fall deeper and deeper in love with each other, she realises soon enough that she cant keep secrets forever.
