After the death of her parents in a fatal Californian earthquake, Sarah is left with no choice but to move in with her grandmother. Having to adjust to an entirely new life, she learns to cope. Along the way, she notices Eli, an extremely quiet musical prodigy who goes to her school, and decides to learn as much about him as she can. As she puzzles together the pieces of his past, she isn't going to like what she finds... ***This has been rewritten and improved from the previous version. The story has a similar plot, but is completely different, and a lot better than the previous version.

Melissa is an athlete, a girl with a soft heart, and is prettier than she lets herself believe. Daniel is the teacher's son, is introvert but is a very jovial guy. He can make Melissa laugh when she doesn't even want to smile. He is smitten by her. Melissa is falling for Daniel faster than she would have thought. But Melissa has someone else who dreams of being her always, a friend she cannot turn her back to, Ryan. Ryan is adamant that he loves Melissa and will make her fall for him no matter what. He even goes to the extent of using Melissa's best friend and breaking her heart to get her. Will this make room for Ryan in Melissa's heart, or will this test all bonds of love and friendship she ever had in her life?
