"Writing only makes Dans pain grow, because he feels as if he will never be loved and as the pain in his chest grows. He breaks down. But one day Dan will finds arms to catch him when he falls, and it will be beautiful. So beautiful it will be the thing that destroys him."

Or a story where Dan writes about being broken and love, a love he believes he will never have and Phil teaches Dan to love the world, but Phil's past is dark.
