Time has passed. Hyrule is getting rebuilt. Zelda on the other hand is not quite sure what to do. She is no longer a princess, She's a queen with responsibilities. A dark force is looming. A lot of work needs to be done to rebuild Hyrule, and to convince others to help will take a lot of work from Link and Zelda. Having all his memories back, Link is plagued with thoughts and memories of the Champions, wishing he could go back in time and save them. He can't focus on the past too much though, because an incredible threat has woken up, and will certainly destroy Hyrule if nothing is done soon. Hyrule needs a hero, and that hero happens to be Link. Takes place after Breath of the Wild. The cover photo isn't mine! All character rights go to Nintendo, but the plot is mineee! Written in Blood . {After OoT/MM fic} Hyrule is on the brink of another bloody war when he returns, the hero that had slipped away to be forgotten by the land. No longer a hero, living a life of isolation far away from the land that had made him a legend once. Resentful and broken, Link hides it best he can, trying to focus on the future and forget. But Zelda remembers him, the person he once was. He's so different now, and perhaps she is too. The whole land is, transformed by war as Ganondorf works to seize all that he believes once belonged to him, in a time no longer. One day, Link saves a woman from the Yiga clan members, and that woman turns out to be Zelda. She tells him about where she has been for the past five years, and once Link finds out the truth, he dedicates his days to helping Zelda feel safe and happy again away from her selfish, rich father Rhoam and her forced fiance, Ganondorf. While Link and Zelda try to save themselves from the abuse, an evil prince from another country declares war on Hyrule in hopes of annexing the kingdom, and Link must go to war, leaving Zelda.
