Star got tickets to see BVB with her old friend Auburn who hadn't seen Star for 6 months. Auburn's parents were driving them to the venue when a large semi- truck that was swerving in the road hit them and the driver of the truck was very drunk. He managed to die on impact but so did Auburn and her parents. Star had managed to survive the crash and had to be rushed to the hospital. While at the hospital, Star realized that she will miss the concert. However someone had recorded the crash and showed it to Black Veil Brides. They rushed over to hospital to see her and they agreed to adopt her after she gets out of the hospital that night.
