The first thing you would probably notice about Angela Maeda was her raven, dead-straight hair. She could thank her Japanese father for that. Along with the alluring almond-shaped eyes.

She had been gone from Mystropolis for a year. And it had been a great year. A year to forget about everything. A year to embrace Tokyo life. But now she was heading home. And there were some important life decisions to make. As she walked through the arrivals car park she noticed the sky was odd. Grey.

Angela looked towards the city. There was a foreboding fog hanging over it. If she knew what was to come, the gruesome horror involving her and her friends, she would’ve turned around and have caught the first available flight out of Mystropolis.

George Wilder, too, stirs feelings in her that she thought she'd put away forever. How could she possibly have feelings for someone so taciturn, so mean? And he was married to one of the most beautiful women in the world, their love for each other was famous; surely he couldn't have feelings for her? ?? "Hello," she said, holding her hand out. "I'm Scout." "You're a girl," he said, surprise making him blunt. "And you're American." She bit her lips together. Fuck. She looked at him. "Yes on both counts." She took a deep breath. "Not what you were expecting?" He blinked at her, looking her up and down. "Uh, no, to be perfectly honest." He jammed his hands into the pockets of his jeans. "Is it going to be a problem?" she asked. "Should I try to get the driver back? Though in my defense, I know my application did mention both those facts." "Oh, I have no doubt," he responded curtly. "I'm not always the most observant. I probably just saw your name and photograph and assumed you were a man--" And oh shit, had he said that out loud? This was not a good beginning. ?? **Warning: Mature Content**

Angela Rose is eighteen years old. Brunette, lean, and tall. A curvy body, that many guys would want her to be their girlfriend. But they didn't like her, because she had one flaw, she is blind. Not genetically. A stink bomb was set off on Angela as a joke, when she was working on a school project in her garage. All of a sudden she sees black. She was ten when this incident happened. Eight years of wanting to see the world. How the water in California is always blue. Or to see the tall mountains in Montana. She had to trust people again. And that was hard only relying on four senses. One day at her clinic, a young man accidentally bumped into her, when visiting his sick grandmother. He looked into her eyes. They were bright blue and green. They looked like they came out of a picture book. He stuck his hand out to introduce himself, not knowing that she was blind. Angela didn't knew what he was doing. He then asked her if she was blind. She had tears in her eyes from that question. She wanted to see his beautiful face, and accent who's it belonged to. She replied to him, "I can't see you."
