Iris Walter has been best friends with Jordan Douglas since she can remember. Iris Walter has also been in love with Alex White since she can remember. Iris's world has always been simple. Go to school, get good grades, go home, hang with Jordan and read in between. One day, when walking out of the cafeteria, her world is suddenly turned upside down when a series of unfortunate events take place, landing her in the arms of Alex. Iris soon comes to find out that he's been in love with her for almost as long as she has him. She also figures out that her best friend is also in love with her. She hasn't been paying as much attention as she thought she had.

Have you ever liked some guy that is popular, attractive and yet annoying, rude, mean at the same time? I'm sure nearly every girl has. Mikasa your typical girl who likes this really hot guy in her class but doesn't have the confidence to confess to him. Typical, isn't it? But don't think that they'll end up falling in love, that's too cliche. Instead it's going to be a whole twist and turn of events for this girl when she meets a boy called Alex whom she 'befriends.' Alex is the whole opposite of who Mikasa likes. Although, she becomes quite close to him, telling him her crush and him encouraging her and helping her out. Will spending time together bring them closer than just friends? A story that is nothing more closer to reality.
