Thisbe Isabetha Armstrong can't remember anything from before she was seven. She can remember just about everything else. She lives with her sister Maga and her Aunt Arabella. Thisbe can see the future, past, and talk to the dead. She doesn't talk to any ever. Not even to the dead. She believes no one cares enough to hear her out. She goes to the lake with Maga and Arabella for her seventeenth birthday. Everything changes. Majorly, there's a boy named Dereck who desperately needs her to believe him. What about what Thisbe wants? After the trip to the lake is extended, Thisbe tries to find her missing dead twin, Thalia. Thalia's lost, in her place in a dead ghost named Chloe who is Thisbe's and her sister Maga's friend.
