What would happen to Two Best Friends if the drifted apart? {Short Story}

The main question of this story is: What would happen if Two Best Friends drifted apart? Well this has happened to me.

My friend Erika and I were best friends up until the end of 6th grade. (I'm finishing up 7th grade I'm in 3rd quarter as of February 14, 2017.) We'd try to hang out as much as possible but that all went down hill at her little sisters b-day party (her sister was turning 1) she was hanging with her new friends and I was in the corner of her in ground pool (my question is why have a pool party for a 1 year old baby am I right or am I right?). When I left she was like glad u could come, I'm over here like no problem (😅 with that kind of facial expression, like that embarrassed laughing yah I had that). When I left to go to the other party I was going to I was like "I've never been happier in my life to leave her house!"
